THE CIVIL WAR OF HUMANITY

We are all born as humans. Our human identity is our primary identity. Yet we repeatedly scorn
our common humanity so that today  we are engaged in a civil war of humanity.

Why classify the wars of the last few centuries as civil wars? We all share a human identity. We
are all born as humans and develop religious and national identities as we go through life.

We are all born as human beings with a capacity for fellowship with other humans. But as we
grow we are taught that other identities, French, German, US, Chinese, capitalist, communist,
Christian, Moslem, are more important. These identities, when pushed to extremes, are simply  a
barrier to peace between humans. We go to war over them and forget our common humanity.

So since we are all humans a war between us is a civil war between humans. Focusing on our
other religious and national identities blinds us to our human identity and blinds us to the
appalling nature of the wars we enter into. All our wars are civil wars and like all civil wars they
should not happen.

The Human Union Movement is working to bring an end to the civil war of humanity by reminding
us that we are all first human beings.

When a civil war ends the warring parties are replaced by a new unified national government.
The civil war of humanity will end  when we replace the current system of competing states with
a human political system; the Human Union.
