HUMAN DECLARATION (for individuals) One of our main goals is to encourage people to reclaim their humanity. We support people who wish to be thought of, and to think of others, principally as human beings. Once enough people realise that they are human beings and that their human identity is more primary than their other identities the world will start to move away from the civil war of humanity and closer to a truly human political system. One way for individuals to take a step in this direction, with or without joining the Human Union Movement, is to sign what we call a "Human Declaration". This is a declaration that you value your human identity and will not be forced into the civil war of humanity by demands that you go to war on behalf of a national or religious cause. Anyone can make such a declaration. We will offer whatever support we can to anyone who has made such a declaration and is subsequently pressured to join a military force or take part in a war against his or her will. Our version of the Human Declaration can be downloaded here: word version: Human Declaration word format PdF version: Human Declaration pdf There is also a copy of it on the bottom of this webpage. We will also publish a list of anyone who has made a Human Declaration (provided they agree to have their name published) on this website at the page: signers of human declaration. This page will be added to our website soon. Contact us now to be one of the first people to be noted as a signer of the Human Declaration. We are publishing the list as a way of giving credit to people who are ready to reclaim their humanity and as a way to encourage others to sign. HUMAN DECLARATION By signing this document I affirm and declare that I am a human being and value my human identity more than my religious, national, corporate or other identities. I further affirm and declare that: To force me to act in compliance with a political system that goes to war against my fellow humans is a denial of my humanity and I will resist such efforts to the best of my abilities. To force me to act in compliance with a political system which discriminates politically against my fellow humans is a denial of my humanity and I will resist such efforts to the best of my abilities. To force me to act in compliance with a political system that discriminates economically against my fellow humans is a denial of my humanity and I will resist such efforts to the best of my abilities. I support the building of a political community capable of extending some form of political justice to all of humanity so as to transcend the existing warring political “communities” of religion, nation, and ethnicity and the false idols of economic and material greed. I will act, to the best of my abilities, to help the building of such a political community of humanity. To act in such a way is my human right and part of my human nature. I hereby pledge to live as best I can as a human being. I affirm and declare that I will resist attempts to deny my humanity. I will support, to the best of my abilities, others whose humanity is denied and who resist attempts to repress their humanity. All the foregoing I state as my declaration of humanity. I am a human being. Signed: ________________________________________________ Please print and then sign name on line above. Dated: _________________________________________________ |
